Subtle Sequins

 {Jacket: Chloe K via Nordstroms Rack similar here | Tank Tops: Express and Target | Necklaces: F21 and Vintage | Hair Flower: F21 | Jeans: Gap | Boots: Report similar here}

This week has been a little stressful with an office move and keeping up with my substantive work, and it's only Monday!  Happy outfit to the rescue.  Phew.  When I first picked up this floral sequined (yes, they are sequins!) blazer at the store, my boyfriend gave me a look that definitely should have been Instagrammed.  Flowers + Sequins + Blazer = what the what are you thinking?!  I couldn't help it, I kind of fell in love with it and added it to my ever growing closet.  Yay!

Happy Tuesday! xo Best of the best to you all this week!

Blogiversarry! (and flowers)

Happy Anniversary!  I can't believe I started this bloggy adventure a year ago.  Time has flown by and I have grown so much.  Looking back at the beginning posts, I was searching to find my voice and style and still have so much to learn in the coming years.  Thank you for taking this journey with me and I appreciate each and every one of you! xo

Northern Lights.  I have been obsessed with the aurora borealis the past few months.  Any time work gets a little too intense or life gets just a little too real... try picturing yourself in a perfectly hot jacuzzi behind a subtly lit cabin looking up at the beautiful, mysterious northern lights.  Yeah... that hit the spot.

Barbie's Wedding Album.  It exists!  I'm actually fairly upset for not coming up with this myself (I had my fair share of barbie weddings when I was a little girl, but gosh darn it if I didn't think to make an artsy wedding album!).  Please take a gander through this Barbie photo album, it is truly amazeballs.

Alpacas.  ALPACAS!  If you know how much Kristen Bell loves sloths, then you might know my vast love for alpacas.  They are ridiculously cute in any form and style.  Is it just me or does the baby alpaca look like a character from one of those childhood Christmas movies like "Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer"??  Ahhhh- I want to dance with one.

Coachella.  Didn't get to go this year... and I would prefer not to talk about it.  Instead I will live vicariously through Alessandra Ambrosio and her gloriously glamorous Coachella style.  She was able to perfectly balance chic, hipster, desert, boho, and hippie all in one.

This guy. ... had fun at Coachella.

Outdoor Twinkles.   Summer is coming around the bend and that means outdoor gatherings, bbqs, picnics, late nights in the warm weather, and just plan good times.  Little flickers of light around a patio or balcony always set the tone for me.  I will continue to get inspired by little lights like these on Etsy until it's time to put them up!

Happy Thursday, dreamers, and I hope you enjoyed todays episode of daydreamerlies.!

First and foremost, I want to express my shock and sorrow with the news of yesterday's bombing in Boston.  My love and thoughts are with you, Boston, my home away from home.   I hope that all of your families are safe, sound, and healthy, no matter where they are.  Life is short and beautiful and we all need to enjoy every moment of it, even the hard moments as those make the sweet moments even sweeter.

Last week I was little under the weather and this weekend was a bit dreary here in the Southland, although anyone from North Dakota and other parts of the country still covered in snow will want to smack me across my German cheeks for saying such a thing.  Even though the weather has been teasing us with hints of warm spring and hot summer, this weekend had me bringing out my jackets and boots one last time.  I was in the mood for something warm and sweet to fight the cloudy day and my boyfriend and I stopped at a ridiculously cute place on Larchmont where I had a delicious chai tea latte with almond milk - yum!!

(btw - my hair is in a total cheat sock bun... in fact... no sock at all!)

Happy Tuesday! xo

Think Pink and Pretty

{1. Opening Ceremony | 2. Lily Pulitzer | 3. ASOS (on sale now!)  | 4. Lily Pulitzer | 5. Rebecca Taylor | 6. Ralph Lauren | 7. Tibi (also on sale!}

A perfectly pink spring dress with a classic style is next on my to "hunt for" list.  Most women look really good in dresses that have waistlines that hit at their natural waist, like most of these.  However, not all ladies look their best in flared out short skirts.  Here are a few dresses that fit different body types and different budgets, and of course I love the dresses that far exceed my budget.

Happy Thursday! You know what that means... almost the weekend! xo

Hair I love, but am too scared to try!

{. | . | . | .}

I know I pride myself on my willingness to step out of the box, but my looks still need to be professional in an office environment.  While I love my long blonde hair (I had a stint at the end of high school and beginning of college of having VERY short flipped out hair), I sometimes wish I could just go a little crazy.  I have died my hair red, but unfortunately my roots didn't hold the color well and it was time to go back to what I was born with.  And yes, I know vintage waves aren't anything too obnoxious, but it would take me wayyyy too long to do that in the morning and I'd end up being late to work with my hair in a simple pony tail from hair frustrations!   So hence my inclusion of that on my list.  Oh well, I'll admire from a distance.  I'd love to hear your hair dreams!

Happy Tuesday, dreamers! xo
